History
The Story of &AND HOSTEL
The Journey of
&AND HOSTEL
In 2016, with the rapid increase of overseas travelers to Japan, very first &AND HOSTEL opened.
At the time, it was introduced as a “smart hostel” equipped with the latest IoT devices, launching a brand that embraced a new era of travel.
In 2021, however, the pandemic brought a major turning point, and the brand was relaunched as a “wellness hostel” targeting domestic guests, offering experiences to relax both mind and body.
Today, we’re growing as a hostel that brings Japanese culture— with fun activities to enjoy during your stay and special collaboration rooms made with our partners.

&AND HOSTEL is a space where guests can encounter new cultures.
In the lounges of our hostels, we regularly host enjoyable events for all guests—sharing homemade dishes from different countries, playing board games, and more. It is a casual space where cross-cultural exchanges naturally happen.
We also introduce a variety of activities, such as workshops, kimono dressing, and guided local walking tours. More than just a place to stay, &AND HOSTEL offers opportunities to discover and connect with Japanese culture.

Beyond Staying
&AND HOSTEL collaborates with partners to create experiences that go beyond ordinary stays. We have hosted escape room events with entire buildings reserved, overnight fan gatherings filled with lively conversations, and illustration galleries with simultaneous viewing parties—high-energy events unique to a hostel, welcomed by fans from Japan and abroad.
Sharing time, feelings, and memories that only real spaces can create. We will continue to pursue experiences that go beyond staying.

We hosted a special collaboration accommodation event with Re:AcT’s 2nd generation members! Entire buildings of &AND HOSTEL in both Tokyo and Osaka were reserved exclusively, offering guests a unique overnight experience in spaces fully themed around Re:AcT’s 2nd generation.

Together with Denno Shojo Siro, a VTuber from .LIVE, we held APPLAND’s very first puzzle-solving escape game at &AND HOSTEL Akihabara. The entire hostel was transformed into an immersive escape game venue, delivering an unforgettable and highly engaging experience.

For one night only, we hosted a unique stay event at “&AND HOSTEL SHINSAIBASHI EAST,” featuring a collaboration room with a fast-rising new VTuber. Branded as AND V SPACE, the event created a place where aspiring VTubers could share their excitement and dreams directly with their fans. The passion of independent VTubers and their supportive fans made the event a huge success.
