Details

Step into a ninja dojo and enjoy a hands-on, immersive ninja experience designed for both children and adults. This activity is especially popular with families, first-time visitors to Japan, and fans of ninjas or anime.

The experience begins by changing into a ninja costume, instantly helping you feel part of the world you’re about to enter. From there, you’ll learn ninja movements and hand seals, inspired by real ninja traditions as well as familiar anime-style techniques.

Rather than just watching demonstrations, the session focuses on learning by doing. You’ll practice throwing shuriken at targets, try basic movements with safe practice swords, and take part in interactive scenarios that let you experience ninja techniques with your own body. The instructor is humorous, patient, and highly experienced, adjusting the pace and difficulty to suit each participant’s age and ability.

At the end of the session, you’ll complete your ninja training and receive a certificate, making it a memorable souvenir of your time in Japan. With plenty of photo-worthy moments, this experience often becomes a highlight of the trip—especially for children, who frequently say it’s their favorite activity.

A perfect option for travelers looking for a fun, interactive way to experience Japanese culture beyond sightseeing.

Reviews

A fantastic experience for the whole family—kids and adults loved it.

Actually throwing shuriken and using swords made it exciting and memorable.

The instructor was kind, patient, and funny—great even for first-timers.

It became the best memory of our trip for our child.

Hi I am a professional Ninja who runs Kickboxing Shinjuku Sports Gym and Minpaku Backstage House Shinjuku in Tokyo. When I was a child, I adored anime and heroic stuff on TV, and played in the fight for TV after school. When I was a student, there was no martial arts in school, so I played baseball and badminton. After graduating from school, I started karate in my local Sapporo, and started karate in parallel with the band activities. After that, I came to Tokyo to become a professional in a band, and the band didn't work, but I practiced with a K-1 professional athlete and used that experience to have my own kickboxing gym. At the same time, I also train ninjas, and now do Muay Thai, aikido, swordsmanship, ninjutsu, and weaponry. With our ninja and kickboxing experience, we want guests who come to Japan to enjoy it. We would be happy if you could use our cheapest accommodation in Kabukicho for game fighters, bandman tours, etc. Kind regards,
