This is an all-level kickboxing and Muay Thai training experience located in the heart of Shinjuku. The sessions are led by a coach with decades of martial arts and combat sports experience, and each workout is carefully adapted to match your fitness level, experience, and goals.
For beginners, the training starts with clear demonstrations of basic stance, punches, and kicks, progressing at a comfortable pace so you can learn safely and confidently—even if it’s your very first martial arts experience. For more experienced participants, the session can include pad work, shadowboxing, heavy bag training, footwork drills, and, if desired, light sparring tailored to your skill level.
Although the session lasts about an hour, it’s a full-body workout that delivers a serious sweat. It’s an excellent way to stay active while traveling, balance out sightseeing and dining, or simply try something new beyond typical tourist activities.
The gym is conveniently located near Shinjuku Station, making it easy to continue exploring the city before or after your training. This experience is ideal for travelers who want more than just “seeing” Japan—and prefer to feel it through movement, discipline, and energy.
Reviews
We started as beginners and were sparring within an hour—so much progress and so much fun.
A top-quality session with a highly experienced coach—ideal training while on holiday.
My first martial arts experience was a blast. The coach was kind, funny, and the location is super convenient in Shinjuku.
Great for mixed levels—experienced me and first-timer partner both felt supported and gained confidence.

Hi I am a professional Ninja who runs Kickboxing Shinjuku Sports Gym and Minpaku Backstage House Shinjuku in Tokyo. When I was a child, I adored anime and heroic stuff on TV, and played in the fight for TV after school. When I was a student, there was no martial arts in school, so I played baseball and badminton. After graduating from school, I started karate in my local Sapporo, and started karate in parallel with the band activities. After that, I came to Tokyo to become a professional in a band, and the band didn't work, but I practiced with a K-1 professional athlete and used that experience to have my own kickboxing gym. At the same time, I also train ninjas, and now do Muay Thai, aikido, swordsmanship, ninjutsu, and weaponry. With our ninja and kickboxing experience, we want guests who come to Japan to enjoy it. We would be happy if you could use our cheapest accommodation in Kabukicho for game fighters, bandman tours, etc. Kind regards,
