Learn traditional Japanese calligraphy (Shodō) in a calm studio space in Asakusa, Tokyo. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll explore sample works, choose a meaningful word or kanji, and practice brush techniques on hanshi paper. The session is suitable for beginners, with personal feedback provided throughout.
Once you feel confident, you’ll create a finished piece on your choice of item—such as a fan, shikishi board, or mini scroll—to take home as a unique souvenir from Japan. The experience ends with a commemorative photo, making it a memorable cultural activity for travelers of all ages.
This hands-on calligraphy workshop offers an authentic introduction to Shodō and is a great way to connect with Japanese culture during your visit to Tokyo.
