Unveil the marvels of Tokyo's public baths, where individuals with tattoos are warmly welcomed! As the vibrant capital of Japan, Tokyo boasts an impressive collection of 500 public bathhouses, and we'll guide you to one of the most highly acclaimed establishments. This bathhouse is renowned for its diverse offerings, featuring a highly concentrated hydrogen bath, super-jet bath, sleeping bath, medicated bath, bubble bath, and an open-air bath.
What sets this experience apart is the use of hydrogen water, ensuring a soak rich in minerals with numerous health benefits. The gentle and heat-retaining properties of this hydrogen water source enhance the overall relaxation. Furthermore, the baths maintain fresh, non-recirculated water, ensuring a pristine and hygienic environment!
Public baths are quintessential gathering places for locals, providing you with a unique opportunity to witness the daily life of Tokyo residents. While Japan has many unwritten rules, fear not! A local guide will assist you in navigating the public bath experience and share insights into the history of Japanese public baths. After the tour, feel confident to explore any of the 500 public baths in Tokyo on your own.
Our adventure begins as we meet at the nearest station, JR Oku Station's ticket gates at 9 PM. (Oku Station is only a 5-minute train ride from Ueno Station.) We'll seamlessly guide you through the entrance process before splitting into gender-specific groups to enjoy approximately an hour of rejuvenation in the mineral-rich waters. After the onsen experience, we'll unwind with your preferred alcoholic beverage (including beer!). We'll return to Oku Station around 10:40 PM, concluding our immersive tour.
Rest assured, as essentials such as rental towels, shampoo, and conditioner are readily available—there's no need to bring anything. This evening escapade promises a delightful and enriching nighttime entertainment experience!

Hello! My name is Ryoji Shimada. I am a Japanese national, professionally qualified and fluent English-speaking tour-guide for inbound tourists. Although I received my tour-guide license 3 years ago, I have been voluntarily involved in introducing Japan to non-Japanese people extensively for the past 19 years. I set up an international cultural exchange organization in 1997 where Japanese and non-Japanese can get together through diverse cultural activities such as visiting various cultural places or enjoying outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. Also, I have visited all 47 provinces (prefectures) in Japan and know various excellent spots and attractions throughout Japan, especially in my old hometown in and around Tokyo. It has been my greatest passion ever since my childhood to meet non-Japanese people and introduce Japan to them.
