Details

Join a local origami class lectured by Teru, an international origami instructor, at the Nippon Origami Association.

* You can make a request for a time/date not listed, so that I can check my availability.

Good for family or friends to experience Japanese origami (paper folding) with feeling the history behind it, which is easy to start, stimulating imagination and creativity, and calming the mind (Zen moment).

In the class, you will - know the history of origami. - be walked through each step of folding by Teru. - can get help from Japanese attendees. (if they are available and you may make friends with them.) - can take your completed origami models (and origami papers and a textbook) home with you.

Also, Teru can take you on a short tour of an origami gallery called Tokyo Origami Museum, where beautiful works are exhibited, and various origami papers and books are available.

Other things to note Just bring your smile. Relax and have fun.

Included

Equipment

I will provide origami papers and an origami textbook.

Host: Teru

I was born and raised in Japan and have been instructing origami for 8,000+ people for 14 years (adept at sharing technology among people with speaking English due to 20-plus years of work experience). I am an origami instructor certified by Nippon Origami Association and Japan Origami Academic Society. I'm happy enough to have had a great time with the participants and have received many appreciative comments. I believe that origami can unite people from all over the world, let them be happy, and create peace and smiles. Also, it's very good for a meditative way of life, I think as a practitioner of Himalayan Siddha meditation initiated by YOGMATA Keiko Aikawa.
Love, harmony, and gratitude.
Meet you soon :-)
